This blog is dedicated to things connected with true Christianity, first and foremost. Other things I find interesting will also be posted as well. Now, I say “true”, for there are doctrines of men that simply do not qualify as having any semblance of New Testament authority.
Jesus said disciples are them that are sanctified “in the truth, [God’s] word is truth” (John 17:17.
Paul said, there are those who “distort the gospel of Christ” but if anyone “should preach to you a gospel contrary to that which [the apostles] have preached…let him be accursed” (Galatians 1:6-9).
Peter said that if one is going to make the claim of being a Christian then he ought to speak “as it were, the utterances of God” (I Peter 4:11).
The doctrines and schemes of men do not meet the approval of God (cf Matthew 15:9). In fact, many blindly regurgitate the thoughts and doctrines that proceeded from the mouths of Augustine, Zwingli, Calvin, Luther, Wesley, Smyth, Booth, the holiness movement from Topeka, Watch Tower, Joseph Smith, Ellen G White, Taze Russell all of which came after the litany of deceit out of the mouths of Popes, that is to say the mouth pieces of the Roman church and not to mention the adulterous, syphilis riddled Henry VIII’s Church of England and the clergy that followed.
So, if you are offended by this and have no wish to change but would rather be led as the blind by blind guides (Matthew 15:14), then you had best leave before the truth sets you free (John 8:32).
